ELASTOMERIC WATERPROOFING

Elastomeric waterproofing refers to the application of a flexible, high-strength coating on the foundation walls. This coating creates a protective barrier that resists water penetration while accommodating minor movements in the foundation. It is particularly useful in areas prone to cracking or shifting.

Exterior excavation

This involves digging around the foundation to expose the exterior walls, allowing for repairs, waterproofing, or reinforcement. It can be necessary when addressing severe foundation issues, such as extensive cracking, shifting, or deterioration.

CRYSTALLINE WATERPROOFING

Crystalline waterproofing products contain chemicals that penetrate the cementitious structure of the foundation. Once inside, they react with moisture to form insoluble crystals, which fill the pores and capillaries of the concrete. This process strengthens and waterproofs the foundation from the inside out, providing long-term protection against water intrusion.

WATER-BASED SOLUTION

This solution involves using a water-based product designed to penetrate the porous masonry of above-grade foundation walls. By soaking into the material, it creates a barrier that prevents water from entering and causing damage. This method is often preferred for above-ground foundations.

Is Water Coming Up Through Your Floor?

Hydrostatic pressure, which leads to water coming up through the basement floor, is a common problem in foundations and is a common cause of wet basements.

Sump Pumps

A sump pump is a mechanical device installed in a pit or sump basin within the basement. It is designed to remove water that accumulates in the pit and discharge it away from the foundation. The sump pump is equipped with a float switch that activates the pump when water reaches a certain level. The device then pumps the water out through a pipe, usually directing it away from the house, towards a drainage area.

Interior French Drains

An interior French drain is a drainage system installed along the perimeter of the basement floor. It consists of a trench dug next to the foundation walls, which is then lined with a perforated pipe. The pipe is surrounded by gravel or aggregate, which helps collect water and direct it away from the basement. The collected water is then routed to a sump pump for removal.

Happy Customer

I have to highly rate Paul and his sons on the job they have done for us. They were professional and informed me of everything needed. They were the first company that told me what was really needed and not some cover up of the issue. I highly recommend anyone needing exterior basement wall waterproofing to contact Paul at Top Course Masonry.
